What do you think of BB cream? Have you ever tried it before? I'm curious about buying some now that Missha recently opened their US online store but I want to know if it's really as great as people say it is...
I have never tried BB cream before, I hear very mixed reviews about it. :/ Some asian women swear by it, but others say it’s much too oily. I’d stick to separating moisturizer & foundation/concealer… It’s easier to manage exactly how much of what goes on your skin type.
Hi, I was wondering if you've taken ART 176 Survey of Global Art II with Szostak. A bit of a stupid question but do you need to take Survey of Global Art I as a pre-rec for the II class?
I took a course at another school that transferred over in place of 176, so no i haven’t taken the exact course at UHM. Szostak is great though, he’s one of my favorite professors. 175 & 176 cover different material from different regions entirely, so no, 175 is not a prereq for 176. Survey classes are generally not the best in terms of learning, it just serves as a prereq to the ‘real’ art history classes. If you’re just taking it for global & multi. perspec. requirements then it’s a good option. :)
What to expect from a survey course: approx 300 students in a giant auditorium listening to one professor. It’s obviously not the best learning environment, but what with public education’s lack of funds (especially for art-related courses)… It’s eh. You get a taste of this and that, which is really the entire purpose of a survey course.
Thanks for all your help! I just registered for the history of photography course. I've taken 176 at UH and a class on Asian art at a university on the mainland. I'm really interested in art history/photography, so I'm hoping it won't be too difficult, even if it is a continuation (thanks for explaining that, btw, I had no idea). I was looking at 381, too. Maybe we'll be in it together! Haha... that wasn't meant to be creepy. Anyway, are these classes mostly lecture style, or is it discussion?
In regards to art 381, Szostak’s classes are taught in full lecture style, as in no one talks to anyone… ever. I have only mingled with my peers to sign the attendance sheet. Lol. I do better that way though… When I’m in class I’m in crazy student mode and don’t really like to talk to anyone. Lol
Almost all of the art history courses are taught lecture style because it’s a history subject and I can’t really imagine the students have anything valuable to say lol #straightup. The only course in art history with discussion aspects is ART 395, art historical methodology. When I say the history course is a continuation I don’t mean that the history of photography course offered this semester is lower in difficulty, i just meant the time period. I’m sure Andrews will go over the necessary information at the beginning of the semester. Good luck!
You look like Min from missA in the pic w the blonde wig! you match all different types of hair. nice blog :)
Ahaha wow thanks! ^______^ I actually considered cutting my hair like her hairstyle during Miss A’s debut (Asymmetrical bob-ish cut). I decided not to until I’m completely done with school & have a real job.
Do you actively participate in kpop websites and forums like allkpop or soompi? =)
No I don’t… Occasionally if I feel really strongly about something I’ll add a comment on the discussion thread but in general, no. I check allkpop like 10x a day though… it’s become a habit. Guilty pleasure. >< It’s really neat though to see so many fans express their thoughts on their fav stars, etc.
Besides the Bobbi Brown foundation that you use, do you recommend any others?
I actually haven’t tried using any other brands. >< I have only just recently started using foundation, while i’ve used only sheer coverage powders before (one from MAC & another from Stila). I’m running quite low on my Bobbi Brown compact, so I might try out another brand in the coming weeks. I’ll definitely let you know!
